Entering the brightly lit hall, all decorated with Christmas garlands, Christmas tree, and with a lovely atmosphere, I knew I was in for a great evening.
A small bar in the corner welcomed each person with refreshment and the hall set with beautifully laid tables with crackers, sweets etc.
After introductions and grace the meal was served, and what a meal. As usual the caterers did us proud. The entertainment was Doreen Arnott and Friends which included Bobby, who had sung with Matt Munro in Blackpool in 1978, Peter, also a very good singer, and Sandra Allan, who in spite of her blind disability was a fantastic singer and pianist, gave a great selection of tunes and Christmas stories. A very enjoyable hour’s entertainment. As always lots and lots of raffles.
A memorable evening thanks to Eilean and Margaret and all the committee who devote themselves and give up their time for the community.
Thanks again from me for a lovely Christmas party.
