The ceildih was organised as a fundraiser for the Parks Project. It seemed a good idea for everybody to have some fun and enjoyment whilst raising money for the parks.
The hall was decorated in a tartan theme, the lighting reduced to give a softer ambience and the bar set up in a corner; all we needed were the dancers.
Well they came, looked, were happy and the evening took off to be one of the best evenings of entertainment; dancing, laughter and all round fun.
The Blackford Fiddlers provided the music and their enjoyment of the night was obvious as they played to full floors for every dance. Just what a band loves to see.
Courtesy of the Bein Inn, stovies were served in the break and more money was removed from the revellers pockets by the old favourite of pound coin closest to the bottle of whisky wins the prize.
Fed and rested it was back to the dancing for time seemed to flying past and midnight was approaching.
The evening was rounded off by the raffle and the committee would like to thank all those who donated prizes especially the local businesses who supported us.
A special thanks must be made to John MacGregor who generously paid for the band who had reduced their fee in support of the project.
The final figure for the funds raised is not available as yet but it looks like it will be in excess of £1000.
To all involved in whatever capacity Many Thanks for you participation and support.
