MARCH 2014 - UPDATE

As a result of staff issues last year in the Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust, former lead partner in the scheme, it was decided that the P&K Heritage Trust should take over the lead for the delivery phase. Due to the legal and contractual repercussions of such a change, there has been a delay in preparing for the delivery phase of the scheme, meaning that March/April is now the likely start date.

There will be two projects with special reference to Abernethy, viz. ‘Ancient Abernethy’ and ‘The Story of Abernethy’.

For ongoing developments and general information see the TayLP website above, as well as the village website (http://www.abernethyvillage.co.uk). Things should start to happen in the spring, and further contact details will become available.

At the time of writing—the end of January—the scheme manager for the delivery phase (about 4 years) has already been appointed, and the rest of the team should be in place quite soon.
