FLOWERS BY CANATARA

The Silver lining to Heather Frearson’s period of illness eleven years ago was the opportunity to change careers.

She was born and brought up in Tayport and after raising her family she had always worked in her husband’s embroidery business but found she could no longer work the machinery.

This gave her the chance to study Floristry at Dundee. Husband, John, already had business premises and the double fronted, two storey shop on the High Street  in Newburgh gave room for Heather’s Florists and Gift shop.

The shop is crammed with unusual gifts and   flowers and orders come from all over the world through her web site as well as from local people and range from small posies and buttonholes through bouquets and baskets to funeral tributes.

The gift shop is an integral part of the business as when a recent delivery of a gift of flowers to welcome a new baby included a pink teddy.

Heather loves her job and takes a personal interest in every order and making sure it is exactly suited to the customer’s requirements.
