KEEPING FIT IN ABERNETHY

Throughout the village we see many people keeping fit in a variety of ways - cycling, running or walking the main road to Aberargie and back or simply walking the dog and it's great to see so many people taking the challenge, BUT did you know that Abernethy has it's own keep fit classes, yes right on your doorstep!

The classes run on a Tuesday evening in the Williamson Hall. 2 classes are offered and are aimed at all fitness levels. 7pm to 8pm is the aerobic and circuits class, a great class for cardio training with a bit of toning and the other is a tai chi, pilates and yoga class at 8.15pm to 9.15pm, this is a great class for stress release and to improve on your core strength and overall flexibility.

The classes have been running in the village for 2 years now and have been very popular with a core

group, but numbers have suddenly started to drop. The class participants are hoping this is just due to the lighter nights and summer holidays as it would be a real shame if the classes had to stop. So if you don't have a membership for a fancy fitness club in Perth and just like the comfort of knowing your class is only 2 minutes from your door, then why not give a class a go. It's also a great way to meet other people in the village. We are there every Tuesday evening and would love to see some new faces. If you would like to view a class before you join in then feel free to pop along for the start of a session.
