MUSEUM NEWS

The Museum of Abernethy is now closed for the season.

Thank you, once again, to those of you who have visited the Museum over the summer months. Thank you also to those of you who volunteer – without your help it would be impossible to run the Museum!

Since my last update, we have held our third Art Exhibition at the Museum. I am happy to report that profits were up on last year and we welcomed 264 people into the Museum over the course of the two weekends. It was lovely that we had a mixture of new artists as well as many who have exhibited with us previously. There was a brilliant mixture of cards, paintings, photos, drawing, sculpture and prints to suit all tastes.

Over the winter months we will hopefully start working properly on our Tayside Landscape Partnership project. Over the next couple of seasons the results of this will be evident in the Museum.

As always, we have worked hard to plan changes that will bring in new visitors as well as giving local people something new to enjoy too. More on this subject in later updates!

As ever, if you have any questions, concerns or compliments, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
