Last November, Abernethy was delighted to welcome back to the Museum "The Red Wine Company"with its production "Alan Bennet and a Lady of Letters" A very topical subject as Alan Bennet celebrated his 75th birthday in 2009. He received many tributes and gave many interviews both on radio and TV during the year.

The Company played to two "Full Houses" and both audiences were most appreciative of the time and work put in by all involved. It is amazing what can be done with one actor, one actress, two assistants and a few props. Alan Tricker sounded so like Alan Bennet and Brenda played the Lady to a T.

Just over £378 was raised towards Museum funds.
