Our New Head

The start of 2011 brought a new Head teacher to Abernethy Primary School. Paula Morrison was born and brought up in Scone where she still lives with her husband Graeme and two children, Finn, aged 11 and Phoebe, aged 3. Paula always wanted to teach and studied at Moray House College in Edinburgh where she gained her degree and teaching qualification. She then taught at Goodlyburn Primary, Perth for ten and a half years before   going to Burrelton as Principal Teacher. She had   periods as Acting Headteacher there as well as at Grandtully Primary.

Paula has always had a keen interest in Music, Drama and the Performing Arts. She studied Ballet and other forms of dance and leaned to play the violin before going to college. She is very happy about her new role at Abernethy Primary and looks forward to the challenge of taking the school forward
