MY DAY AT THE
COMMONWEALTH
(TUESDAY 29TH JULY ) GAMES
On Tuesday my dad and I travelled by train to Glasgow to see the artistic gymnastics at the Hydro. When we arrived we took in the fun atmosphere in George Square then walked to the “BBC Live at the quay” beside the river Clyde where we saw Danny MacCaskill and the Drop & Roll stunt cyclists performing. After that we went to the Hilton hotel next to the Hydro for something to eat where met Aled Davies the discus silver medallist from Wales. I had my photo taken with him and he let me have a shot of his silver medal which felt quite heavy. After collecting our tickets we were taken into the Hydro where dad and I had a brilliant afternoon watching the artistic gymnasts and the medals being presented but all too soon it was time to go home. It was a wonderful experience being at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games that I won’t forget in a hurry.
