The children have been busier than ever this term at Playgroup with lots of focus on outdoor play and healthy living. They have been enjoying practicing for sports day which is to be held at the Powrie Park mid June. We hope also to have a teddy bears picnic, so watch out for all those teddies and their owners heading off to the woods on a sunny day.
Storytime –Over the past few months, Rev Alec Wark has been very kindly been reading the story to the children at quiet time.
Car Boot Sale held on 20 February 2010. Thanks to all who supported the car boot sale and toy recycling fundraiser. Playgroup made a total of £209.70 and there were lots of bargains bagged from the Playgroup stall and also the individual stallholders.
Smoothie day – To tie in with May’s topic of healthy eating the children had ‘super smoothie’ day where they had the opportunity to try out lots of delicious flavoured smoothies.
Gala Day - Gala preparation is a hot topic at Playgroup, especially since it is to be the special 50th event. The children are all very excited about participating in the fancy dress parade.
The Playgroup staff and committee are always a little sad at the end of the summer term as we have to say goodbye to those children who are moving on from Playgroup to school and nursery, we wish you all the very best. However, we do look forward to seeing lots of new little faces in August after the summer break.
