The children all enjoyed preparing the banner and taking part in the fancy dress parade. The sun shone and Aunt Sally, Worzil Gummidge and their troop of sunflowers and scarecrows made it all the way to Powrie Park for an afternoon of games and fun at the Gala.
On 11 June Anna McNeill hosted a Ready, Steady, Cook Event in the Williamson Hall in aid of Playgroup funds.
Two brave Dads, Scott Baird and Chris McGroarty took to the kitchen for a battle of dough, broccoli and beer It was a tough choice but there could only be one winner. Chris took the title on this occasion but there very well may be a re-match in the future. The total of £350.00 was raised for Playgroup. Thanks to all who supported this event.
Thank you to the Horticultural Trust who have very kindly donated money for the Playgroup Hyacinth Pot decorating and growing project.
Available Places – Playgroup has a number of places available at the start of the new school year and continued low numbers could eventually affect the sustainability of Playgroup in the long term. If there are any families who are thinking of enrolling, then parents, please do consider coming along to the taster sessions to see what happens at Playgroup. Also, you don’t have to live in the village to attend so please let your friends and relatives know we are here and have space for their children to come and have fun while learning.
