MUSEUM OF ABERNETHY

It has been a good year for the Museum considering we didn’t open until June and then only at the weekends for the first month. Thereafter we were back to our usual days.

We installed two new notice boards at either end of the village advertising our opening times. We hope this worked in some little way to increase the numbers through the door. I would like to thank the Haxtons and the Bairds for allowing us to use their land to erect these signs.

We would love if more of the residents of the villages, Abernethy and Aberargie would pay us a visit, as most of our visitors are from outwith the villages. We endeavour to change our exhibits regularly to encourage folks to come back again and I think we have a couple cracking new ones for 2022; not giving anything away.

I would like to thank all the volunteers who staff the desk on opening days and the board members and other helpers for their hard work to keep this valuable attraction up and running.
